I have been passionate about cooking and baking since I was old enough to stand on a stool and help in the kitchen. Growing up I enjoyed spending time with my mom, grandparents and granny in the kitchen preparing meals and desserts. We sat down at the dinner table every night and had Sunday dinner at
granny’s every weekend.
I have been involved in many catering and cake business ventures, but I always dreamt of owning something of my own, that I could put my whole heart into. With Eric’s (my better half) encouragement, we opened The Slotted Spoon at the end of 2018. With the help of my sister Courtney (my cooking companion) and support of our giant and loving family, we have dedicated ourselves to preparing fresh and hearty meals from scratch for our friends, family and community. We hope to make having a sit-down meal easy and accessible to help “bring families back to the dinner table”.
